Obviously there are going to be some questions. So, here is your chance to ask them! There is no such thing as a silly question. If you're thinking it, someone else is too.

I'm having the screening issue that other people are having, would you be able to fix it for me?

Hi, my comment is also coming up screened, if you could possibly unscreen it? Thanks!

As an Aussie who'd like to help out but whose bank imposes very large charges for foreign currency transactions is it acceptable to donate to the Australian Red Cross NZ Earthquake Appeal?

If it is acceptable it might also be an easier option for US bidders as the AUD and USD are at parity so you don't have to convert the bid amount.

But I do have to convert everything NZDs. No, we're not making the AUS RC part of the auction. But if you can't donate any other way I will make an exception for you.

i think im just being slow /o\

nce i receive confirmation of donation for the lightning round, do i have to let the mods know? and how?

Your buyer paid with v-gifts which we were able to lookup without bugging you. So you're all set.

Okay, this is stupid but here we go. I don't have a credit card, no LJ tokens and just $9.99 on my paypal. I could donate much more money to the auction if I could pay any way but online. The Red Cross lets you send money per post. How do I confirm my donation, though?

If you have money in the bank you can add it to paypal and use that to buy LJ v-gifts.

Just a quick question regarding payment methods.

Most sites only accept payments via credit cards, and I unfortunately don't own one. Are there any other means that I could use to donate/auction with?
Paypal payment is preferable if that helps at all.

Cheers in advance

The Salvation Army takes paypal. The link is permanently in the sidebar at right.

Hi there! I have won a auction, but now what?
Do I make the donation and let the offerer know, or what?

Mods are working through the threads as quickly as we can and notifying winners. If you haven't received a comment from a mod, you can go ahead and make a donation to one of our approved charities (linked on the right side of our LJ) and then forward your email receipt to your offeror.

Splitting Donations

Here's a question for you. I'd like to give some money to the RNZSPCA, but I'd like to help the people too. Is it okay to split my donation so long as it totals up to my bid, or would that just be too annoying? Mother Nature seems cranky right now, so I'm trying to help where I can without breaking the bank.

Sure. Just let us know so we can mark it correctly on our spreadsheet. :D
